Assalamualaikum wr wb. May everyone is in the best of health. Alhamdulillah I was given the chance to attend Miss Ummi's 4th lecture. In this week's lecture, I learnt about evaluating a company's resources, capabilities, and competitiveness.

This topic explains how certain strategy works in a company. Different companies has different resources and capabilities in managing their business. I also learnt about TOWS. TOWS is basically the combination of SWOT analysis and its counterpart. In managing a company, we cannot only have strengths, weaknesses opportunity and threats. We need to evaluate more than that. This is where TOWS comes in. Instead of having only four boxes, we now have 8 boxes in evaluating SWOT ans TOWS.

This chapter indicates that the financial status can determine how well a company is doing. Apart from that, company's resources and capabilities too are important to determine the company's performance.

On the other hand, during the tutorial, we need to make a presentation. My group decided to open a dining restaurant that sells seafood dishes. Our restaurant's name is D'Mermaid Restaurant. After the presentation, we receives many questions from the audience. Alhamdulillah, we managed to reply to their enquiries and the presentation went well. In sya Allah, we will do better in the next presentation and learn from the previous mistakes.

All in all, I enjoyed this week's lecture and tutorial. I need to learn to focus more during lecture as I am easily distracted and lost my concentration most of the time. I will try my best to understand this subject and do my revisions after the lesson. :)
